Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your files and what information the site processes. The short version: your files are processed in your browser, not uploaded to FileOne.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

The short version

FileOne is built so you can work on a file without sending it to us. The file you select is read and processed by your own browser. FileOne does not receive, store, or transmit the file or its contents.

  • No account or sign-in is required.
  • No file is uploaded to a FileOne server.
  • No filename, file content, or generated output is collected.

Files you select

When you choose or drop a file, the browser gives that file to the tool page you opened. Image and PDF operations run in that page using browser APIs and libraries served from this site. The file stays in the browser's memory while the page is open.

FileOne does not write selected files to a database, cloud storage, or an upload queue. Reloading or closing the page clears the selection. The original file on your device is not changed.

Technical data processed by the hosting provider

FileOne is delivered as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard technical request data — such as an IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp — in order to deliver the site, apply security protections, and prevent abuse.

FileOne does not link that infrastructure data to your files, and does not use it to build user profiles.

Analytics (enabled on this site)

Page analytics is enabled on this site. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement service that reports aggregate page views, referring sites, and basic performance timings. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors' personal data. The script does not set cookies and does not use local storage, session storage, or IndexedDB on this site. FileOne does not send filenames, file contents, file sizes, conversion settings, or generated outputs to it.

The operator may also enable FileOne's own Cloudflare Worker counter. It accepts only two fields: a whitelisted event name (tool started, succeeded, failed, file downloaded, or a helpful/needs-work answer) and one of the six live tool ids. The Worker stores one aggregate count per UTC date, tool, and event. It is designed not to store per-event rows, IP addresses, accounts, cookies, filenames, file paths, file contents, sizes, or conversion settings.

This is aggregate measurement, not an audited total. Hosting and analytics providers still process standard request metadata to deliver and protect the service, aggregate counts can be inflated by forged requests, and FileOne does not claim that any statistic is perfectly accurate or impossible to link.

Analytics consent and choices

Cloudflare Web Analytics is configured to measure visits without cookies or browser storage and is not used for advertising or cross-site profiling. Because it measures aggregate traffic without storing information on your device, this site does not show an analytics consent banner. If the measurement configuration changes to one that requires consent under applicable law — for example, cookie-based analytics, advertising, or personalization — FileOne will add a consent mechanism that records your choices before those scripts run, and this policy will be updated first.

You can block or remove the analytics script with browser settings, an extension, or a content blocker. Measurement is not required for any tool to run, and blocking it does not affect file conversion, downloads, or local processing.

Feedback you choose to send

After a successful result, a tool may ask whether it was helpful. Choosing Yes or Needs work sends only that fixed answer and the tool id to FileOne's optional aggregate counter. It does not send your file, its name, its contents, or anything you typed. No account or email address is required.

The same choices are normally recorded once per result. That duplicate prevention happens in the page and can be bypassed or can fail across reloads; it is not a reliable anti-abuse control.

If a Tally feedback form is configured, the footer Feedback link and the Needs work follow-up open that form in a new tab. Nothing is submitted to Tally unless you choose to submit it. Text you enter there is processed by Tally under Tally's own privacy policy, not by FileOne. FileOne does not add file information to the link; at most, a tool id may be included so a report can be routed. Please do not send files, personal data, passwords, or confidential material through the form.

Advertising (disabled by default)

The default build loads no advertising scripts and displays no ads. If advertising is enabled in the future, FileOne intends to use Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect device and usage information under Google's policies.

Where required by law, a consent management platform will ask for your choices before personalized advertising is enabled. This policy will be updated before ads go live.

Ads will be labelled, placed away from upload, processing, and download controls, and never designed to look like an action or download button. FileOne does not use your files to target ads, because FileOne never receives them.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies and stores no file data in local storage, session storage, or IndexedDB. When page analytics is enabled, it is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed to measure visits without cookies or browser storage. FileOne does not place analytics choices in browser storage because no such choice is needed for this configuration; the section above explains when that would change. Opening the external Tally form may allow Tally to set its own cookies on Tally's domain; the FileOne page does not pass your files to it.

Your choices

You can use FileOne without providing an account or personal details. You can skip the helpful/Needs work buttons and never open the Tally form. You can block third-party scripts with browser settings or extensions; the local image and PDF tools continue to work. If page analytics is enabled, blocking its script stops the measurement request entirely. Advertising remains disabled, and enabling it would require the consent mechanism described in this policy.

Children

FileOne is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not create accounts or knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes, such as enabling analytics or advertising, will be described here before they take effect.
