Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use FileOne. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

The service

FileOne provides free browser-based tools for common image and PDF tasks. No account is required. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the site may be unavailable from time to time.

Your files and your responsibility

You keep ownership of your files. FileOne processes them locally and does not claim any rights to them.

You are responsible for having the right to use and modify the files you select. Keep a backup of any important file. Check each result before relying on it, especially for documents that contain signatures, forms, or information that must remain exact.

Merging or extracting pages may invalidate digital signatures. Encrypted PDFs are not supported.

Acceptable use

Do not use FileOne to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, distribute malware, or process content you are not allowed to process.

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass security controls, or use automated requests in a way that harms availability for other people.

No warranty

FileOne is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, there is no warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that a tool will work with every file, browser, or device, or that a result will be free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileOne and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption arising from your use of the site.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Intellectual property

The FileOne name, interface, and site content belong to their respective owners. Your files remain yours. Open-source libraries used by the site remain subject to their own licenses.

Third-party services

The local tools do not depend on a third-party conversion API. If optional analytics or advertising is enabled in the future, those services are governed by their providers' terms and by the Privacy Policy.

Operator information

The operator's legal name and address are shown on the Contact page when configured. FileOne does not publish fictional company details, and the missing operator information remains a requirement before public launch.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
